The machine Crater Tire CT4.0 Double The machine is equipped with a robot to process defects on previously buffed casings. By means of a robot equipped with a gripper, it loads the tyres fully automatically from the monorail, which independently sets up the hooks for gripping.

When the robot loads the tyre one at a time and inserts it first on the first tripod, the system starts to scan it by means of a sensor that identifies the defects on the crown. Once this has been done, the first internal robot will start processing it using abrasive tools, while the loading robot will take the second tyre previously positioned by the monorail and load it into the second tripod where the second robot, after performing a new scan, will process the defects.

When the first tyre has been processed, the loading robot will pick it up and place it on the free hook of the monorail, and then continue the loading and unloading process.

The machine is equipped with a barcode and QRcode sensor to identify the necessary information of the various casings being processed, this data will be added after processing and integrated into the company’s WMS or ERP the data could be multiple such as: the number of defects processed, their size, processing time, etc…
